Traditional hard hats are designed to protect the head from linear impacts. Patented Mips technology was developed in recognition of the fact that the most common type of accident to occur on-site is a slip, trip or fall, which is much more likely to cause a rotational injury. With the advanced industrial safety standards and superior comfort of the Centurion Nexus with Mips technology has created a market-leading helmet protection system. The helmets are created for real World accidents where anything can happen, they ensure to protect the wearer from incidents that cannot be controlled.

The Centurion Nexus was the World’s first safety helmet with the Mips Cradle which enhances the wearers safety by exceeding standards and transferring less shock for improved impact and penetration protection. The combination of a low friction layer that allows the head to move inside the helmet (10mm – 15mm relative motion in all directions) which can redirect the harmful rotational motion otherwise transferred to the head. The premium Grade ABS (acrylonitrile butadiene styrene) provides high performance and optimal strength to weight ratio for the ultimate wearer protection. ABS is an impact resistant material which has structural strength and stiffness which makes the perfect shell for a safety helmet.

It is extremely important that safety helmets have good visibility for the wearer, the Nexus Extreme Mips helmet has an optimised Micro Peak for maximum upward visibility. The helmet also has a chinstrap which conforms to the EN397 standard, the strap allows for additional wearer comfort and helmet stability. To also ensure the helmet is comfortable as well as providing optimum protection the Nexus Extreme Mips has a premium “Twist 2 Fit” wheel ratchet for improved head and nape protection.
