The new TD01 Sustain is the world’s first carbon neutral, biodegradable, 100% nitrile disposable glove. Don’t underestimate the significance of this. Put it this way – billions of nitrile gloves are used every year without a care regarding the carbon emissions produced in the manufacturing of them. Imagine a world where all carbon emissions are zero’d. Well, this is one of the first steps toward that.

TD01 sustain is carbon neutral right from cradle to gate, meaning Traffi has measured everything from the extraction of raw materials to manufacturing, downstream transport, and UK distribution. The footprint has then been offset using verified credits to reach a carbon neutral product.
Knowing the carbon footprint of Traffi’s products is the first step towards being sustainable; it can then be proved how much KG CO2e you can avoid through using Traffi’s products. For example, if you used TD01, you could avoid 25,000 KG CO2e for every 1,000 cases used. This is equivalent to the carbon sequestered by 25 trees that are 100 years old. The majority of disposable gloves are made in China (who everyone knows are the world’s biggest greenhouse gas polluters), whereas Traffi’s gloves are manufactured in the lush green valleys of Sri Lanka, resulting in a lower downstream shipping CO2e footprint for UK customers.
The TD01 Sustain has a premium quality 3.5g high stretch material, ensuring the wearer has maximum movement. They are powder free, meaning that they are food approved and perfect for use in food manufacturing and preparation environments. In addition, the gloves have a textured finish which gives the wearer an improved grip.
