Bespoke PPE clothing for Heathrow Airport
As the second busiest airport in the world, Heathrow Airport Limited (HAL) required a specialist PPE supplier to revolutionise the safety of their people, while providing PPE that was built to last.
Through extensive dialogue with HAL, our Category Management team identified PULSARTM as the market-leading supplier in the design and manufacture of innovative and quality PPE. We held several product workshops with both HAL and PULSARTM to develop an entirely new range that met all their safety and inclusivity requirements. This included meeting all the latest standards in line with the EU 2016/425 regulation and having garments that could be laundered up to 50 times through an industrial wash process.
Each item of bespoke PPE included the Heathrow purple zip tape and logo. The clothing was also tailored to fit within an airport environment including:
- Zip teeth being made from non-metal
- Reflective high-visibility tape
- The garments being waterproof, windproof and breathable, with interactive features.
