Delivery locations such as construction sites, transport hubs, and prisons can often be complex, hard to locate, highly secure, or a combination of all three. For many couriers, simply finding the correct entry point can be a challenge, especially if they are unfamiliar with the area or a site doesn’t have a fixed address. Even then they do locate it, navigating specific security procedures can be time-consuming and difficult. Throw in last-minute courier changes and the subsequent change in an expected license plate or driver name and it’s easy to see how delays can happen.
Our personal approach to accessing complex delivery locations
Many of our deliveries to airports and prisons, for example, can be quite complex. That’s why we don’t send just any courier or driver. Challenge 2: Meeting your specific delivery schedules
Many courier companies map their schedules out in the morning, which might sound organised but makes it difficult to schedule deliveries at the specific time slots required at high-security sites like prisons. So, when you need a degree of flexibility, such as for an emergency order, many couriers are unable to fulfil this as they can only be booked 48 hours in advance.
Our flexible approach to meeting your timeframes
All of our deliveries are meticulously planned using our routing software, Verizon Connect, which plans deliveries in line with allotted delivery windows and to avoid peak traffic times.
Change of plan? No problem. Wherever possible, we make sure your delivery reaches you how and when you expect it – but it something crops up, you can always contact us to arrange collection at your local Service Centre.
